Women's European Championships.
Massive crowd 😂😂😂

Can't even half fill a Stadium, when will this experiment end?

Should be played on Hackney Marshes.

Re: Women's European Championships.
Oh, and the standard of the football is sh!t. I remember in the world cup when Fran whatsherface who plays up front for us turned her marker and scored and they were comparing her to Messi. Do me a favour FFS

Re: Women's European Championships.
To be fair to the ref she should actually be applauded for changing her decision. She gave the penalty and one of our players pointed out to her that they had been told before the tournament began that if the ball deflected on to their arms it would not be handball. The ball deflected off our players leg on to her arm. The ref admitted she had made a mistake and overturned her decision. I didn't understand it at the time but having read what happened I actually think it was a brave thing to do. No ref in the men's game would have admitted they were wrong so you can't compare it with anything.

Re: Women's European Championships.
like joey said, the best players in the world wouldn't stand a chance against a team of men from a pub side.

This needs to stop, and its great they are playing but the standard is ridiculous.

They wouldn't go over Hackney marshes and film a game of (better standard) players so why keep forcing this down our throats just because they have tits.

To think we've lost the open form our screens but get this in return - someone is having a fucking laugh

Re: Women's European Championships.
That refereeing thing was ridiculous. Can't believe England got away with it to be honest - it's the players fault for cocking up the clearance, ridiculous

The missus asked me if I was watching any of it the other day - I said no and she pulled a face and said 'what they aren't hot enough?'

I pointed out that
a. If I wanted to watch rubbish football I'd watch our highlights DVD from last season or pop into town to watch bristol rovers
b. If I wanted to watch hot women playing sport I'd find some beach volleyball
c. She only watches men's football if there's someone she likes playing

It's a nonsense trying to force something he popular to the masses, it has to be built up. I even get annoyed that the BBC football updates from their app are now women's ones too - I'm not being horrible, I just do t care. And it's not because they're women, it's because it's dull. It's like when the ACON used to be on bbc2 or 3 - I'd watch a couple of games and realise how atrocious it was, and then sometimes watch the highlights for the goalkeeping errors. The Beeb gave up on that, hopefully they'll calm down about this a bit too

Eh? Gave a penalty and then changed her mind? She has to be a worse ref than some of the Premier league ones!

This is fucking garbage. Stop shoving it down our throats. It's good that they are playing football but it's never gonna be interesting

Womens football = toddlers playing monopoly.

They've been trying for years Sweden

It's shite.

A good few years ago now (8-10) Sweden were playing in the World cup final vs Germany 🇩🇪 iirc

Made a big thing of it and ended up live on National TV, got about as many viewers watching than if they'd screened the Eurovision Song Contest in a pub filled with Banditos.

Funny I remember they interviewed all the then managers in the male allsvenskan (top division here) if they'd be watching, all except one lied and said yes a Yogoslavian manager called Zoran Lukić...
He Managed Djurgården at tha time (Teddy Sheringham played on loan in his earlier career) he couldn't help laughing and said no, he'd rather cut his grass..

Obviously got ridiculed by the MSM and lefty twats

I didn't watch either

I cut my grass

Re: Women's European Championships.
I wonder at what level some of these girls could actually play. None would touch league football, and I doubt any would get a contract at a conference side either.

I would imagine it would be Rymans League (is it still called that?) at the very best, but that would be the top 1%, the very best women players in the world.
